Read the Story Behind the Image

I had a special and introspective moment capturing the image of a lone sailboat with its sails down on Little Traverse Bay. The absence of wind created a peaceful atmosphere for the sailboat on this evening. As a photographer, the tranquility of the moment allowed me to fully appreciate the subtle beauty of the scene.

The late evening sun hung heavily in the sky, casting a warm glow over the tranquil waters. The impending sunset created a moving moment, heightened by clouds and distant smoke on the horizon. It's a rare occasion when Lake Michigan is this calm, providing a mirror-like surface that beautifully reflected the orange, pink, and violet hues of the sun's rays. The sailboat, with its sails lowered, represented peaceful journeying in a world temporarily paused.

In this moment of calmness, my pace was unhurried. The combination of light, water, and the lone sailboat created a peaceful scene. As a photographer, my goal was to capture both the visual and emotional essence of that serene evening on Little Traverse Bay, where time slowed down and a profound connection with the fleeting moment's beauty was possible.

Made from genuine solid wood, our mouldings have a naturally rich finish and grain, and sometimes vary in finish slightly. We take extra care to ensure your frame is free of flaws and meets your high standards, so you will receive a beautiful hand-made product you'll be proud to present and display.

  • Framed image is mounted to a 1/4" foam board inside of the frame.
  • Mats are Polar White.
  • Comes with a protective Acrylic Plexiglass on the front and a paper backing.
  • Comes with a wire hanger and rubber bumpers.

Framed prints usually ship within 5-8 business days of order and standard shipping will be another 2-5 business days.

METAL PRINTS
Metal prints usually ship within 2-3 business days of order and standard shipping will be another 2-5 business days.

CANVAS WRAPS
Canvas wraps usually ship within 2-3 business days of order and standard shipping will be another 2-5 business days.
